Off Ends 2016, a project which looks at the misrepresentation of black boys and more specifically, the lack of relationship that they have with nature whilst growing up and living in an inner-city environment.

When shooting this in the middle of affluent Richmond, many visitors stopped in amazement and confusion. The image of two young black men submerging themselves into bushes of vibrant flowers and laying amongst the bluebells was a shock. Although their reactions were not of hate and fear, instead they smiled and enjoyed a time of reflection and perhaps new perspectives. This further proved my point that black skin is not often seen in these kinds of outdoor nature spaces.
