Whose Body ? 2017 is a project which seeks to examine the hyper sexualization of the black female body. A body which over the course of history has never fully belonged to the black woman herself but everyone and everything else which surrounds her. I wanted to draw upon this idea of a limbo state, where we see the black woman wandering, searching and trying to understand what space she Is in, what is her connection to this space and its limits.
